We’ve had a great start to the new year. Spencer is liking his new school and I love how small it is. He’s one of 150 kids total and it serves ages 14-21. The PTO has 8 members. It’s a small, close, community and the teachers are amazing.
Sammie is overwhelmed by school sometimes and other times it seems too easy. She’s planning on auditioning for show choir and maybe trying out for volleyball. She gave her first talk in church a few Sunday’s ago and did an amazing job. Uncle Brian drew this of her while she was speaking:
Goofy girl.
Tyler and I made a deal a few weeks ago- he doesn’t complain about going to school or homework for a WHOLE WEEK and I’d buy him this toy he’s been begging for every time we go to Target.
It’s a bat man zip line. He did earn it, but unfortunately it was kind of a junky toy and it broke the same day. I took it back and then later Thomas and Tyler bought a bow with suction cup arrows that he insists on carrying everywhere.
We got another new sofa… I had to return the other new sofa from a few months ago because it was already falling apart. Returning meant 2 months of phone calls to the company customer service line, but I made it happen. It’s a much more durable fabric and comes with this fancy chair that I have grown to love-
I did finally take the tags off. ha ha.
Finally- we figured out Tyler’s baptism will be December 7th of this year. He will be 8 in November and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. It seems like it couldn’t be 8 years ago he looked like this:

Love you buddy. I’ll be dedicating a whole post to Tyler through the years closer to his birthday if you haven’t gotten enough of those big blue eyes.
